Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter on WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. In Charleston O'Dell's reporting regarding the police's lenient approach towards DUI cases caused an State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the State authorities issuing the strictest guidelines regarding the instances. Ms. O'Dell was awarded an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell later worked at NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. As well as her job as the lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and in addition to Dateline NBC. She's covered events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of Pre-ShowArrivals shows for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
